Handwoven in the method of rugmaking called twining. Twined rugs are made by wrapping or twining material around the vertical pieces (warp) of fabric on a loom. It creates a tightly woven rag rug.
A lot of hours go into making a twined rug --- 18 to 20 hours for me to make a rug 36" x 24" --- but that's nothing compared to the years of enjoyment you will get out of a twined rug.
Twined rugs are very sturdy, lay flat and last for many years. If one side gets dirty, shake it out and flip it over, or throw it in the wash. This rug is machine washable on gentle cycle. Hang or drape over a railing or chair to dry. Depending on your floor surface you may want to place a nonslip liner beneath your rug.
Made from 100% reclaimed and recycled fabrics. Fabrics are laundered and cut or torn into strips. The edges are left raw for a rustic look.
Due to the size and weight of these, I have included the extra postage cost in the price. If you wish to purchase in person at regular price, please inquire.
